Peter was most recently chairman of the Crown Agents for Overseas Governments and Administrations and of its banking and asset management subsidiaries, a director of the construction company Kier Group plc and of Henderson TR Pacific Investment Trust plc. He is a trustee of the Charities Aid Foundation and its international chairman. He is retained adviser on international economic development to the Corporation of London. He was honoured by the Japanese government in 2008 for services to international development. Peter was appointed to the board as a director on 28 January 1999. He was appointed chairman on 15 May 2000.
